Durex condoms

Went to e-Gate for lunch today. In the men's toilet, there is a condom dispenser - cost RM$4 for unribbed, RM$5 for ribbed, and RM$11 for the Vibrating Deluxe model.

Just wondering why they put in the dispenser, when there's a 7-11 just around the corner which opens 24x7 and sells the same things at 10%-20% cheaper...

Photos from Kek Lok Si

Here are some of the shots I took at the Kek Lok Si Temple in Air Itam Penang.

On your way up to the top of the temple after all the stalls there is a place where there are lots of tortoises. Turtle Power!

This is what we walked up all the way to see.

This is what happened to the old statue, poor Kuan Yin

A lot of Kuan Yin statuettes being on display near the bronze statue

There were some cute bench holders lying around, all ready to be laid out. The holders included dogs, mice, ducks, Pandas and even Mickey Mice. They basically place a marble or concrete slab between two of the holders, which makes a bench.

Me trying to be funny

You can find more information about this at wiki.

For lunch, my family went to this place near the Pulau Tikus market:

It serves Hong Kong Fusion style dishes, as well as these:

Quite tasty - that's what my kids say. I'm not too partial to this kind of food; give me some good Hokkien Mee and Char Koay Kak any day (mmmmm!)

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Absolutely fabulous Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, I had. Will blog about it once I screen through the photos.

Had Christmas Eve dinner with my extended family (Mom/Dad, Uncles, Aunts and cousins). Christmas Day I spent at Kek Lok Si Temple, Air Itam (Penang, Malaysia for those who don't know ^_^). Rather hot morning after 9am, but I got the shots I wanted, yay!

Dinner last night was at Pony's and Friends, new family restaurant at Lake Plaza, Bukit Jambul. The Fish Cordon Bleu wasn't that great, but the Fish & Chips was good.

December 26th - back to work.

No Intech? AAAAAARGH!

Some blardy bastitch stole the InTech from yesterday's Star Newspaper from my department's relaxation room. I curse him with a thousand blood-sucking lice on his armpits!

Put it back, Put it baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.... Sob.
It's my only Intech fix for the week....

On another note....

Finally figured out how to get the wysiwyg editor working - apparently IE6 doesn't cut it, need to use Mozilla Firefox. Bweh.

This is cool - going back to sail-powered days...

Was reading an article about how in the future sailing ships could use "kites" to propel them across oceans (refer to here). In fact, some group called "SkySails" has already prototyped one.

Apparently the first cargo ship, the MV Beluga Skysails (130m long) will have its maiden voyage in 2007.

Cost : Euro 500,000 to 2.5 million.

Potty Training for Adult Males

I have a beef. It's not a big piece of beef, just a small request to all those 20/20 vision adult males, irregardless of race, religion or sexual orientation.

GODDAMN AIM YOUR F*CKING PR*CK WHEN YOU TAKE A PISS!!!!!

I've seen toilet seats with yellow drippings, not to mention the wall behind the WC. I swear these people just make it a game - whoever can "decorate" the toilet the most wins a prize. I've even seen one instance where some smartarse deliberately yellowed the toilet paper. C'mon, who ever wants to desecrate the most precious of toilet commodities, especially when you really need to go and that's the only available stall?

And I'm not even going to get starting with those who can miss when taking a crap...

Bleh.

It's a good day to be alive

Hi there, welcome to my blog. My nick is Fratwart. Not short or long for anything, it's just that I've been using this nick for the longest time, since uni days (previously it was QWERTY, how imaginative...).

It's a Monday morning, the start of a new week. It's the week before Christmas, and I've already bought all the prezzies I'm supposed to buy for all my nieces and friends. A little late for Christmas shopping, but where I am, Christmas is not a BIG THING, like it is in parts of the world which consider themselves "developed".

Bought most of them over at the new mall in Penang - Queensbay Mall. There's a Jusco, and a Toys R'Us, and a lot of small shops which I still haven't got time to go and visit. There was a cute little shop selling trinkets - Chinese Chess with Sun WuKong characters, plus the cutest Japanese dolls that I've ever seen. I think I'll buy a couple of them for the spouse. Pictures coming soon, if I can figure out how to post pics on this blog. There's supposed to have a function to upload them, but I'm typing in a textbox which doesn't have any formatting options. Gotta read the instruction manual more often...

'Till my next post.
